It also aids in weight loss and contains essential fiber. Jowar (Sorghum) is a tropical millet, typically grown as a rain-fed crop – both – kharif and rabi. Jau (Barley) is a temperate grain crop, similar to wheat, inferior in terms of versatility for food applications, but with significant health benefits, grown mainly as a rabi crop in Northern parts of India.
