DESI UTPAD
Amaranth is gluten-free. Amaranth is a naturally gluten-free, mineral-rich grain that has been cultivated for thousands of years. However, as with all naturally gluten-free grains, it’s important to purchase amaranth that is labeled as gluten-free. Often classified as a grain, amaranth is a pseudocereal cereal. While it shares a similar set of nutrients and can be used similarly to wheat or oats, it can still be enjoyed on a grain free paleo diet. Amaranth can also be used to replace grains in side dishes, grain bowls and soups. Amaranth is classified as a pseudocereal, meaning that it’s not technically a cereal grain like wheat or oats, but it shares a comparable set of nutrients and is used in similar ways.
