Today we are talking about our favourite fruit, our summer indulgence - The King🤴 of all fruits- Mango. Let's enjoy and savour all the different varieties as they ripen every week or two, each with its irresistible mangolicious flavour.


Naturally ripened Mango is a rich source of vitamins like vitamin C, Vitamin B6 and Vitamin A, Fibre, Antioxidants, phytonutrients


The most important thing is to buy mangoes which are untreated and not ripened with chemicals like carbide.

Today when people complain that mangoes give them a tummy upset or don't agree with them it's because they are eating mangoes full of chemicals which harm the body. Also when fruit is artificially ripened it lacks flavour and taste.


My mother in law who was diabetic enjoyed a mango every day throughout the summer with no ill effects.


My father a retired army General grew mangoes and other fruits after he retired. He tended them with the same discipline he followed all his life. They rewarded him with trees laden with delicious fruit. We would spend the summer holidays feasting on freshly plucked ripe juicy mangoes. He would easily eat a dozen mangoes daily. He was healthy and active, played golf till the day he passed away at the age of 90 despite having had his colon removed 20 years earlier. He got all the nutrients from the fresh fruit he grew and enjoyed eating.
