About us

Jute Artisans Guild Association is a voluntary non-profit organization encouraging the rural poor women of Barabanki and Lucknow districts of Uttar Pradesh (India) to fabricate Jute Products as their source of livelihood. It is supported by National Jute Board, Ministry of Textiles, Government of India (www.jute.com). Under Jute Technology Mission IV through its cluster development agency, Bhartiya Sewa Sansthan, Lucknow (www.bhartiyasewasansthan.org).

Presently, 250+ women, jute artisans are associated with the federation, involved in the manufacture of diversified jute products for seminars and conferences or any event and even packaging for industrial purposes. We take pride in the fact that our clients are spread all over the country. The federation also has its own import-export code, enabling it to export as well, without any hassle.
We are using natural and recyclable, a golden fiber of jute to make a variety of designs from jute fabric for official and industrial purposes. Our artisans participate in fairs and industrial exhibitions gaining rich insights of market trends and product designs being preferred by various segments of customers. The demand for eco-friendly utility products is increasing day by day due to plastic hazards.
It is one-stop-shop for a fashionable lifestyle with handcrafted products. The mother is working to create a platform which narrates the stories of being bold and timeless through its products.

Jute for Life is empowering women in rural areas through Education, Training, and Motivation which enhances women entrepreneurship. We focus on developing the potential of girls and women to drive enduring changes. We lay great emphasis on practicing quality healthcare, inclusive education, gender equality, and sustainable living opportunities and disaster relief.

Jute for Life also plays a vital role in upbringing the society in the present scenario. With the realization of their critical role in the social-economic progress of the family and community at large, empowerment of women particularly in the rural areas has become our main focus and is receiving our undivided attention.

As we grow further, our key attitude will continue to include social analysis and action, gender transformative value chain approaches, leadership and life skills strengthening, building capacities and leadership roles at multiple levels, advocacy on national and international platforms and facilitating links and dialogues between public, private and civil society.
