About the speakers

Giti is an anthropologist and perfumer with a passion for social change. With extensive experience in the NGO sector, she harnessed anthropological insights to tackle social challenges. Giti pursued her passion for attars in parallel, conducting extensive research and experimentation, birthing her own natural skincare brand in Australia. She is now conducting immersive fieldwork for her PhD across the lifecycle of the attar industry, deepening her understanding of India's historical perfume traditions, aesthetics, and natural aromatics. Giti is ready for her next endeavour - a perfume brand crafting fragrances for transformative experiences, evoking moods while embodying a distinctly modern, Indian aesthetic.

Shruti, co-founder of Tirwa Farms, spearheaded the venture in 2021 to democratize organic products. Armed with a Commerce degree from Sri Ram College and an MBA from the University of Liverpool, she excelled in Real Estate Marketing before delving into organic farming. Recognized for her contributions, she received accolades from FICCI FLO and the Lucknow Conclave in 2023.
